ACIG International is the overseas business of Australian Continuous Improvement Group. We have been working on projects in Asia and the Pacific for more than ten years.

Strengthening Results Management in Support of Poverty Reduction in Tajikistan

ACIG International is assisting the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to strengthen its results management systems, monitoring and evaluating its Poverty Reduction Strategy and National Development Strategy.

Developing a Results-based Monitoring and Evaluation System for Key Projects in China

ACIG International assisted the Key Projects Inspectorate Office (KPIO) of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of the People’s Republic of China to develop a national results-based monitoring and evaluation system for key national projects.

Strengthening Governance and Public Sector Reform in Papua New Guinea

Our team supported the Government of Papua New Guinea’s efforts to improve public sector performance, through strengthening mechanisms to deliver public services. Assistance was deliverd to the Department of Personnel Management, the Public Service Commission and the PNG Institute of Public Administration. A key program was to support the Service Improvement Program (SIP) of the PNG Public Service, training, coaching and facilitating a group of coordinators based in the Department of Prime Minister and NEC.

Asian Mayor Forum

ACIG International advised the ADB on various municipal management issues and facilitated several Mayor Forums. The aims of the forums were to provide a means of exchanging information between mayors. Exchanges took place on best practice municipal services and how to address barriers to improving resident services.

Project Performance Management for the Asian Development Bank

ACIG International helped develop a methodology for ADB staff to better define projects so that they can monitor and evaluate the projects in terms of outputs, benefits and development objectives. ACIG also trained a number of ADB staff and member country representatives in the use of the project management methodology and created a number of guidance manuals.

Enhancing Municipal Service Delivery Capability in 10 Asian cities

ACIG International worked with ten Asian cities located in seven countries to help them improve their service delivery in key service areas. A benchmarking process was used to compare service performance across the cities that identified improvement opportunities for each of the participants. Continuous improvement techniques were implemented and a number of key regional workshops were held.

Vanuatu Frontline Services Enhancement

ACIG International assisted the Government of the Republic of Vanuatu improve frontline service delivery in the Ministries of Health and Education. For Health, the purchasing, storage and distribution of medical supplies throughout the nation were improved, while for Education, the administration system at the Province and Zone levels were enhanced.

Solomon Islands Institutional Strengthening

ACIG International assisted the Government of the Solomon Islands restructure and strengthen the Public Service as part of a Public Sector Reform Programme. ACIG International assisted the government downsize the Public Service by fifteen percent and is now working with individual ministries to restructure and strengthen to enhance productivity, operational effectiveness and service delivery.

Nepal PPMS

In this project ACIG International assisted the Government of Nepal to develop a process for selecting development projects and monitoring their performance in terms of output, purpose and development goals. The project is working with four ministries to strengthen staff skills and apply systems and processes to select, prioritise, implement and monitor project performance.
